Review of the Fest:
First held at the Levitt Shell in Memphis, TN back in 2014, Moon River quickly grew into the magnificent fest that fans have come to know and love today.
Moon River focuses primarily on the indie-folk genre of music that draws in crowds by the thousands. It was refreshing to attend a music festival where people gather to all listen, celebrate, and dance to their favorite songs & artists. The crowds were in endless good spirits, despite the rain stalling the festival & a last minute headliner change from CAAMP to NEEDTOBREATHE on opening day Saturday.
From my personal standpoint, I have not photographed or attended many festivals (the total being 3, including this year’s Moon River Music Festival) but this one is by far the most fun I’ve had yet. There is an evident community of beautiful people that both attend and run this event & I hope I get the opportunity to attend &/or photograph Moon River next year.
