Review of the Show:
The sun had just set on Music City, but that didn’t mean that the day was over…
YUNGBLUD took to the stage this past Wednesday and man what a performance it was. While waiting in the photo pit for the show to begin, it surprised me to see that along with the black, metal barrels for the setup, the stage was fairly empty. It wasn’t until the lights dimmed that I began to understand why.
YUNGBLUD charged onto the stage with such a passion that the crowd immediately roared with applause. He ran back and forth across the stage with an immense amount of energy as the cheers continued and his opening song “21st Century Liability” started.
Despite his hardcore persona, Yungblud makes it known that he cares for and loves his fans. Such care was showcased during the show in various ways including consistent “I love you’s” directed to the crowd, taking a moment to encourage the audience to turn to their left and right to introduce themselves to other attendees surrounding them and make a new friend, & having people hug and sway with their newfound friends during “Sweet Heroine”. He even joined the crowd during “fleabag” and held onto young fan Carter from Alabama.
To be honest, I was not a big fan of the artist before the show, but I left totally in awe. A friend of mine also attended the show and we watched from the Lawn together after I shot in the photo pit. He happened to be a fan of Yungblud and told me that I would be after the show. & he was right. The energy completely surrounds your being and you can’t deny the electric buzz surge through your veins during and after.
There is no doubt that YUNGBLUD was born to be a rocker and his performance certainly didn’t disappoint. If you haven’t had the chance to see YUNGBLUD live quite yet, I suggest you hurry and snag a ticket. You won’t regret it ;)
